Start with the opening, not the product
Most people arrive here with a space to divide rather than a product in mind: an open-plan room that needs two rooms, a rental where nothing may be screwed to a wall, a studio that needs a backdrop, a shared office that needs quiet. The categories on this page are organised that way on purpose, by how the divider is held up rather than by what it is made of.
Measure before you buy
Almost everything that gets returned would have been avoided by a tape measure. For a folding screen, measure the width of the opening and check the panel count covers it. For ceiling track, measure the run in metres and add the corners, because the track is sold by the metre and bends by hand rather than being cut to a shape.
