Described, not promised
We tell you how wide a screen is, how many panels it has, what it is made of, whether it folds flat and whether it needs fixing to anything. Where a figure is not published we say so instead of guessing.
Room Divider Company
Folding screens, panel partitions and ceiling curtain track that bends by hand on site to fit a bay, a curve or a corner. Freestanding or fixed, for homes, offices, rentals and shared spaces.
Everything here exists so that an everyday task stays something you do yourself. That is the whole brief.
We tell you how wide a screen is, how many panels it has, what it is made of, whether it folds flat and whether it needs fixing to anything. Where a figure is not published we say so instead of guessing.
Panel dividers, curtain dividers and the accessories that go with them. Buy direct and online, by the piece or by the metre, with no minimum order.
Delivery is free on orders of $100 or more, measured on the price you see and a flat $25 below that. Every order is tracked.
We are an online supplier with no shop or showroom, which is part of how the pricing works. Email us before you order and a person will answer.
The categories are organised the way people actually arrive: by the room, and by the task that became difficult.
Folding and freestanding screens: wooden carved panels, Japanese shoji-style dividers, hanging panels and four- and six-panel partitions.
Ceiling track that bends by hand to fit a bay, a curve or a corner, sold by the metre, with the curtain rods and chain mail curtains to hang from it.
The parts and the tools that go with a divider, including the cordless screwdriver for fitting the track.
We sell room dividers and partitions across New Zealand. This page is the short version of what we have learned selling them: how to choose, what to measure, and what we will and will not tell you.
Most people arrive here with a space to divide rather than a product in mind: an open-plan room that needs two rooms, a rental where nothing may be screwed to a wall, a studio that needs a backdrop, a shared office that needs quiet. The categories on this page are organised that way on purpose, by how the divider is held up rather than by what it is made of.
Almost everything that gets returned would have been avoided by a tape measure. For a folding screen, measure the width of the opening and check the panel count covers it. For ceiling track, measure the run in metres and add the corners, because the track is sold by the metre and bends by hand rather than being cut to a shape. For a curtain rod, measure the wall-to-wall span. Every product page lists the figures the supplier publishes, and where a figure is not published we say so rather than guess.
A folding screen stands on its own and can be moved or put away, which is what most renters need. Ceiling track and curtain rods are fixed, so they need something to fix to and they leave holes. If you cannot drill, say so before you order and we will tell you which of the range works for you.
If you are choosing between two products, or you are not sure a size will fit, email us first. We would rather answer a question than process a return, and the answer usually comes back the same working day.
We supply the parts and the fixings that come with them. We do not send an installer and we do not fit anything, so where a product needs drilling that is a job for you or your tradesperson. We say so on the page rather than at the checkout.
Three ranges, delivered across New Zealand. Free delivery on orders of $100 or more, and a flat $25 below that.
Questions about which size fits, which aid suits the room, your order or delivery? A person on our team is happy to help. We would rather answer a question before you order than process a return afterwards.
Full business details, published openly, so you always know exactly who you are buying from.
